Joeys are currently doing their environment badge. We have made Bird feeders and Terrariums. To make the bird feeders we used terracotta pots and saucer, some string and washers. The Joeys painted the pot and saucer, then used the washer to stop the string pulling through the the hole in the top of the pot. |

We made the terrariums from recycling a 600 mil soft drink bottle. We put some potting mix and water in the bottle and sprinkled in some crest seeds. (We only did this on Wednesday so the seeds haven't sprouted yet but the kids are excited to see what will happen) The kids are having a great time learning how to care for animals and the environment Kirsty |
