Cub – 2015 ends and 2016 is about to begin

Yes another year has come to an end…… but the new year looks just as exciting as all that we have done so far this year

so many things to list…..  Wow where does one begin with these awesome kids…… they have all worked on the badge and

Boomerang work, all come to cubs with big smiles and excitement on their faces going what are doing this week.

They have been to the region Cub Camp (which was slightly delayed due to minor flooding at Glenreagh earlier this year)

all had a blast… we even had Linking Joey come along as well….. they have been to the very first North Coast Region 

Christmas Family Camp….. the parents even got to have a go at all the things the kids get to do as well like canoeing, 

Archery, challenge Course, billy carts, and the best of all the Flying Fox, oh and crate stacking and arial sock wrestling 

now that one looked really really interesting. They also went to stay at the Nambucca Valley Scout Hall and had a great time

with the Nambucca kids doing more christmas crafty stuff…….

Term four started off with one doing his Grey Wolf hike and ending with the blast of him receiving it in front of ALL the group

at the Parent Support Committee's 'Leader Appreciation Day" (which was also International Volunteers Day). He was extra

spoilt by the Region Cub Commissioner coming all the way up from Kempsey to Present him his award……

We had one bring in her Horse for her level 2 pet badge…… we all learnt something new that day……. one was how to

walk around a horse safely….. another was that their coats are soft….. Well done to the Cub scout for that… another brought his

birthday present he got that day which was some crazy crabs so his working on his level One…

All the Cubs in the second last week….. had a blast and passed all their swimming that they could do so all were all awarded

the badges according to their levels of swimming…..

Working on the new programs for next year… so far have term one done… now that looks like fun…. hehe wait till they see what is

happening…… looks like they are going to earn a proficiency badge each term at this rate plus what they do at home….

new program will posted/emailed to all in the new year…..
