The challenge was on for Four of Grafton Scout Groups Cubs went to the 6th NSW Cuboree at the Cataract Scout Park near Appin in Southern Sydney, where all up there were nearly 3,000 cub scouts, last week.
They took on many challenges and even outdid themselves on things that they thought that they couldn’t do, braving the heights of a the Flying Fox, climbing wall, Caving, bubble ball, Archery, Water-slides, even meet some Myths and Legends at the Greek Base and the Viking Base lots of water was used in many activities as well, especially with ice-cream containers on each others heads to pass around.
Along with the 4 Cubs we also had 2 Scouts attend to help run activities, 1 scout leader to help run the flying fox, 1 parent carer who helped with some of our cubs and 1 cub leader who was on security at the front gate, I got to see the Cubs as often as i could and loved hearing what they had to say about what they had been doing.
The next Cuboree is in 2020, Cubs is for both boys and girls aged 8 to 10 years old.
